Napa Valley Rose

I like to use Bordeaux Varietals for our Rose and usually it’s a blend of the three main players (Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc, and Merlot). However, don’t be surprised if a single varietal or Syrah is used. I give the chosen juice about 18-20 hours of skin contact before bleeding it off (saigner) from the stainless tanks into three barrels where it is fermented completely dry. The wine is then aged 6 months in neutral oak. The wine is loaded with wild cherry and strawberry finishing with a little spice. Take the afternoon off. Chill a bottle and find a poolside, lakeside, deck, hammock, boat, dock, ocean, picnic, or Luau. NBA playoffs and cold leftovers match perfectly.
